“Manarola”, encaustic Diptych, by Daniella Woolf, burst with sunshine and bright colors. It is part of “The Audacity of Stripes” series, which Ms Woolf based on wood “shims”. She also has written a book on encaustic, titled “Encaustic with a Textile Sensibility” and a DVD of the same. I have not purchased these yet, but I am tempted, as the cover of the book has a thrilling design.
