Linda Cole and I met at a workshop at R&F Paints called “Ahead of the Buzz”. She creates art made with encaustic, plexiglass, paper and mylar. The work you see above, titled “‘‘Elevated Air” is one of her 3-D creations and it is made from “wax, paper, wire strips hanging in a 3D grid”. This piece does feel like air, with its translucent paper, soft shadows, and negative spaces. To me, it also has an almost sacred quality to it, as if it were meant to be viewed in a quiet room of a church or temple. Linda Cole has numerous websites and her own blog. Check out her work by following links on my Contact Page.
