This is my try at book illustration. It is for a future alphabet book, with historical Anacostia the subject. I don’t know yet whether I will be selected for this job, but I thought it might interest any students of art to see how I altered my illuminated letter for this design. I think the design works, but , to be honest, I liked the version of this painting with only the “A” , and nothing else, better. Live and learn.
