Motonaga Sadamasa is a Japanese artist, now participating in the “Gutaï” Show at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City. Upon entering the museum , one looks up and sees color suspended in sheer plastic tubing, titled “Water”. The effect is enchanting, as the lines of bright color intersect with the white spiral wall of the Guggenheim. I will never look at a plastic bag the same way again.
