Today was a good day to paint a shark in encaustic. I created that interesting shark skin texture by painting wax through a stencil, which left a series of raised circles. Once the texture was done, then came the exciting part of painting black and white lines, and adding the shark eyes. More to come on how the shark head is coming in later posts.
By the way, thank you Fairfax County and it’s board of Supervisors for negotiating with Wells Fargo to keep the Workhouse Arts Center open. I would have missed my studio here!
