It was a fun evening of meeting new friends and artists at the opening of the 3rd Annual Juried Exhibition at the Buchanan Partners Art Gallery at the Hylton Performing Arts Center. My artwork “Give Thanks” won an Honorable Mention Award.
Especially surprising was the jurors praise for my artist’s statement-they said the humorous writing “sold the piece’s inclusion into the show.” I guess all those books on the importance of Artist’s Statement are correct!
