“Distant Forest” is the title of the mixed media work above, created by Allen Levy. Mr. Levy has created a series of somewhat abstract work, typically resembling far away landscapes. The overall colors tend to be browns and blues, and the beauty of his work has made his paintings sell quickly at the Workhouse Center for the Arts. He also travels to art and craft shows around the country. Here is a link to his site Allen Levy
His bio reads as follows “ While growing up in Fort Wayne, Indiana, I was always aware I had some type of creative streak, but, never found a way to channel this creativity. While attending Purdue University to obtain my marketing degree, I took an elective art class where I discovered my passion for painting and the outlet for my creativity. After spending many years in the corporate world, I decided to follow my passion and I am now completely engaged in being a full-time artist.
Primarily a self-taught artist, my working studio is located at the Lorton Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, Virginia. I also am an artist member at The Torpedo Factory Art League in Alexandria, Virginia, and the Greater Reston Art Center in Reston, Virginia. I live and paint in Woodbridge, Virginia, and have sold my work nationally.”
