“Balancing on Ice,” encaustic mixed media, 14″x42″
This painting looks at our dependence on cars, the impact of emissions on our planet, and the costs to human and animal life. In the center of this work, a baby sits on an ice flow and holds a car. A sun shines overhead. On either side of the child, two animals, a polar bear and a seal, sit. The far right and left of the work depicts the extreme weathers that global warming is causing.
